Adopt a Cop

The goal of Adopt-A-Cop is to assign law enforcement officers (and other first responders) from the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody Police Departments to a Knight’s family group or individual who will pray daily for them,  send a note of encouragement, support, and thank the officers for their service to the community.

World Day of Prayer for Peace, 9/11

Each year, on 9/11 the Saint Jude Knights dedicate a Rosary to world peace after the 6:00 pm Mass, in observance of The Knights of Columbus World Day of Prayer for Peace.  The Knights hope that this somber occasion will help bring to the world the Church’s message of peace and reconciliation, so that religion will always be a cause for mutual respect and harmony, and never for violence or hatred.

Interfaith Outreach Home

Jack Panosian

Interfaith Outreach Home (IOH) provides working, but homeless families needed long-term solutions that included safe shelter, emotional support, skill building opportunities, and the ability to stay together.

IOH welcomed its first residents in February 1992. The building itself houses 10 small but separate apartments, each consisting of two rooms, a bath and a kitchen. Within these apartments, families are able to remain united, preserve their dignity and privacy, and focus on building a strong foundation for a stable future.

Council 16513 supports IOH through financial commitments, material support, and dedicated manpower. In August 2017, we presented IOH with a donation of $1095.00. Throughout the year, Knights helped by providing and laying new carpet for common spaces, refurbished apartments, and performed various system repairs in the complex.

Community Blood Drive

Throughout the year, Council 16513 partners with the Red Cross to hold a blood drive – helping restore vital stores of blood and platelets.  Your gift of blood may help up to three people. Donated red blood cells do not last forever. They have a shelf-life of up to 42 days. A healthy donor may donate every 56 days.

Upcoming Blood Drive Dates:
