James 2:17, “Faith without works is dead"
Thought for the day:
I had been thinking about our Council programs - as I often do - and also considering something I heard in the Archbishop’s video at Mass concerning a quote from St. Peter Claver.

Those thoughts brought me to James 2:17, condensed to read “faith without works is dead,” which encapsulates the idea that our good works are informed by our faith and, conversely, our good works animates our faith!
But works, even good works, by themselves lack meaning if not done in a spirit of love. Love becomes the medium through which we see Christ in those we help and, conversely with equal importance, they see Christ in us.
Not all of us are cut out for “frontline” interaction with those in need,
but all of us have a role to play. Each Knight must prayerfully consider his role to discern whether on the frontline or providing moral support or having the wherewithal to provide financial resources to help bring works to fruition.
We will be known by the works of our hands!
